Background

As described in the other web pages, being kind to others helps make the world a better place. Kindness is contagious, and can help promote a friendlier, more caring world. Taking small steps, as simple as lending a helping hand to a neighbor, can make someone's entire day. As described before, there are many different ways to promote kindness by being kind to strangers, your friends, your community, and yourself. Some examples include complimenting a stranger, picking up trash in your community, buying a friend a coffee, and donating clothing. For more examples, see the Home page. To help promote kindness, we have created the kindness contest to acknowledge extraordinary acts of kindness.

More Information

The kindness contest is our way of promoting kindness and acknowledging extraordinary acts of kindness. Acts of kindness as simple as complimenting someone who needed it can create a culture of kindness, and whether one realizes it or not, can be extremely impactful. Going out of your way to be kind to someone can take as little as 20 seconds out of your day, and it can leave someone else thinking about it for the rest of the day. If someone has been extra kind to you lately, enter them in this contest! To enter, fill out the survey and tell us who brightened your day, and how. The acts of kindness that stand out to us will be rewarded, as well as acknowledged on our website.
